I apologize for taking so long to get this update posted. I am not as fluent in the Duck language as Caryn and Skip. According to Daisy while she and Bill spent last winter at the Pridemore Bed and Breakfast they overheard a conversation about other Ponderosa Pines residents spending the winter at various other places. After much thought and discussion they approached Skip with the idea of wintering elsewhere this year. Daisy and Skip got on Skips computer to look for a winter place. Daisy told Skip that she and Bill were very nervous traveling by car so a close place would be best also they would like to share a condo with another critter as learning a new language was a passion of Daisy and Bill. Skip found a place for them at a condo in High Rolls. Daisy said she and Bill were so happy and wondered if there would be a condo mate. Skip told them the condo would be shared with a horse named Cheyenne. Daisy and Bill were thrilled a horse was the perfect condo mate for the winter. When the day finally arrived to head to High Rolls Daisy and Bill were packed and jumped right in the traveling carrier. Bill was more nervous than Daisy but he put up a brave front. The car trip turned out to be fabulous and not at all scary. Skip pointed out all the interesting things along the way. Daisy was especially impressed with the shops in Cloudcroft and Bill loved the trestle. Both ducks were quit nervous to meet Cheyenne he was so large and majestic. He immediately put them at ease and helped the people to get them settled in the condo they were to share. Since the first day it was a joy for the three of them. Fortunately Cheyenne spoke some Duck and Bill and Daisy quickly learned Horse. Cheyenne introduced them to several neighbors and both ducks now speak Raven and Chicken. The winter has been wonderful but both ducks are starting to dream of their pond and home in Ponderosa Pines.
