Robin was a longtime home owner in Ponderosa Pines and served our community for many years on the board of directors. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Rose.
Robert Charl Butler, Robin, 79, passed away at home in Horseshoe Bay, Texas on August 26, 2021. Robin was born in Hemet, California. His parents were Robert E. Butler and Anita Mary Alsup; his stepparents were James Alsup and Mary Lea Butler. All proceeded him in death. His aunt, Elizabeth Avant, aunt and uncle Marty and June Ezell, two cousins Galen and Glenn Terry Ezell, mother in law Anna Rose Ingram and brother-in-law Byran Ingram also did.
Robin is survived by his wife Rose Anna, his sisters Suzanne Barker, Lora Lea Brennan, and Allyson Jamison and their spouses; his brother Blake Butler and wife, of Nebraska. Don Alsup of Texas, aunt Barbara Horner of New Mexico, cousin Glenda Smith of Georgia, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Henry and Jane Zimon, nephew Jason Zimon, niece Amanda Parkhurst, their spouses and children of Virginia.
Robin lived in El Paso for thirty two years and graduated from Austin High School and University of Texas El Paso. He became an educator for thirty two years in the Ysleta Independent School District both as a teacher and administrator. Later he was the Quality Assurance coordinator for Coca Cola.
Robin and Rose retired to Cloudcroft, New Mexico, where he continued his passions of golf and running. In 2009 they moved to Horseshoe Bay, Texas.
Robin loved his family and friends. With his smiling, twinkling blue eyes and sense of caring, the feeling was reciprocated. Among his friends he was known as a good man. Robin was a loving husband to his wife Rose for thirty eight years. Throughout the years they faced life's challenges and proud moments together. Their love is everlasting, precious will be the memories.
Robin's services are at the Fellowship Baptist Church, 2702 Mormon Hills Road in Marble Falls, Texas on Thursday, September 2 at 10:00AM. Pastor Jamie Greening will officiate.
Honorary Pallbearers are Henry Zimon, Ken Thomas, Richard Love, Stretch Meadows and Darrell Agnew.
